Vaelor appeared, his body shifting like smoke. With a wave of his hand, three large doors appeared before them.
🚪 “Each door leads to a test. Fail… and you will be trapped here forever.”
Ryn clenched his fists. “We’re ready.”
Chapter 17: The First Trial – The Path of Shadows
The first door led them into a twisting cave, full of illusions.
Every few steps, the walls moved, making them feel lost.
😠 “This place is trying to trick us,” Grimbold grumbled. “How do we find the way out?”
🔮 Glimmer sprinkled her magic dust. It revealed faint glowing footprints on the ground.
✨ “This way!” she said.
Following the light, they avoided the traps and tricks of the cave. Finally, they reached an altar where a shadowy hand tried to grab the Harmony Stone.

The last door led them to a grand hall, where Vaelor stood waiting.
🔥 “This is your last test,” he said. “Tell me… why do you truly want to keep the Harmony Stone?”
Ryn took a deep breath and stepped forward.

Vaelor’s glowing eyes studied him.

Silence filled the hall.

The shadows faded away, and the trapped souls turned into light, finally free.

Back in Arborvale, the mist vanished, and the villagers reappeared.
Everything was back to normal.
